Free membership to the Norwegian Geophysical Society (Norsk Geofysisk Forening NGF)
CHESS wishes to increase its ties with NGF in the last two years of the existence of the research school and CHESS wants to contribute to strengthen the role of NGF as a Norwegian platform for scientists within our field to meet and connect. By making up a substantial part of the membership of the NGF, especially by our PhD students, we have the opportunity to establish an early-career network, and to maintain the valuable community which we have built in CHESS.
The society promotes collaboration within the geophysical sciences in Norway. Membership in NGF also includes a membership within the European Geosciences Union (EGU) or the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
